2012 FESTIVAL ARCHIVE

yellow-texture-medium.png

Beverley Puppet Festival 2012 presented 23 companies from across the UK and welcomed one company from Denmark/Spain. 'House' by Sophie Krog Theatre, with help from a travel grant from the Danish Arts Council, was a true highlight in the history of Beverley Puppet Festival programming.  The festival was largely made possible by our primary national funder Arts Council England.

The 2012 festival included several classic story titles, but, as ever, we wished to present as many diverse and accessible forms of puppetry as possible, including the inspirational theme of 'materials, the elements and objects'.

The adult programme grew from three shows to five in 2012 and the outdoor act programme grew to 14 companies.
