2016 FESTIVAL ARCHIVE

yellow-texture-medium.png

Beverley Puppet Festival 2016 saw 30 companies descend on the town across the festival weekend. For the first time we worked with East Riding Theatre, Parkway Cinema and the Flemingate Centre, which helped grow the festival even more than previous years. This was largely made possible by our primary national funder Arts Council England.

2016 saw shows for all ages, spanning themes of mythical creatures, strange beasts, humanity's inner journeys and the challenges of superficial appearances. Constantly striving to open up new worlds through the spectrum of puppetry in all its diversity, from emerging artists to experienced puppet masters, the festival takes pride in its role as a forum of artistic exchange for both professional puppeteers and unsuspecting audiences.
