Beverley Puppet Festival 2010 presented 19 companies from across the UK, including three shows for adult audiences. The festival included a children's puppet trail and a schools puppet parade as part of the Education Project. The event was largely made possible by our primary national funder Arts Council England.

Anna Ingleby wrote in the brochure at the time: "A Polish director once said to me that 'puppetry brings out the adult within the child and the child within the adult'. With this in mind, our aim has been to provide events which will appeal to all ages and we hope that the puppets will fire the imagination within all of us. Should we succeed in that, it will prove again how valuable events of this nature are in bringing different ages and communities together."
